Languages of practice : English, French, Spanish

Florencia Trespalacios is completing her PhD in clinical psychology at Concordia University. She completed her clinical residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, working in the Integrated Day Treatment’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program and the borderline personality disorder (BPD) clinic. She also trained at the Douglas Eating Disorders continuum and the MUHC’s Mood and Anxiety Program.

She has experience supporting adolescents and adults with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety and mood disturbances, trauma, eating disorders/disordered eating, emotion regulation difficulties, interpersonal problems, and life transitions.

Florencia’s therapeutic approach is integrative and centered around each client’s individual needs. She draws from DBT, ACT, CBT, Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), trauma processing, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, adapting her approach to fit the person in front of her. She provides a warm, validating space where clients can build self-acceptance and compassion, while gaining the insight and practical skills to make meaningful change.

Outside of her clinical work, Florencia enjoys staying active, especially playing soccer and training at the gym. She also loves quiet days at home with her cats, time in the sun, reading, and exploring Montréal’s cafés and restaurants with family and friends.
