Lindsey Moncarz, OCCOQ

Psychotherapy Intern

Lindsey Moncarz completed her master’s degree in counselling psychology at McGill University as well as a certificate program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec (OCCOQ) and is currently pursuing a license to practice psychotherapy from the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ) under clinical supervision at Connecte.

Lindsey’s collaborative, empathic, and transparent approach is tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each client. She strives to create an authentic and supportive environment where clients feel safe to navigate their life challenges. She utilizes multimodal interventions, which include strength-based, solution-focused, and motivational techniques as part of an overall approach to cognitive behavioural therapy. Lindsey is experienced in working with individuals who struggle with a wide range of concerns, including stress and anxiety, low mood and depression, fragile self-esteem and self-worth, interpersonal and relationship conflicts, ineffective communication skills, executive functioning difficulties, as well as overwhelming life transitions (i.e. personal, academic, and/or vocational). She promotes the development of self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion as she helps her clients pursue meaningful change and personal growth.

On a personal note, Lindsey is a self-proclaimed foodie. She loves experimenting with recipes for friends and family and venturing out to new dining spots.
