Dr. Marianne Lemay is a clinical psychologist and member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. She completed her doctoral studies in University of Montreal’s Clinical Psychology program. She is a psychologist at Connecte Montreal Psychology Group and at Douglas Mental Health University Institute, in the Psychotic Disorders Program. Marianne received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Montreal.
Marianne completed her clinical training at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, in the Psychotic Disorders Program. She developed an expertise in the treatment of psychotic disorders and their comorbid problems including anxiety, mood, dissociative, substance abuse, and personality disorders. In addition, her training at the Clinique universitaire de psychologie de l’Université de Montréal and Centre de psychologie contextuelle provided a diversified experience in self-esteem difficulties, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. Marianne uses an integrative approach in psychotherapy, including techniques and constructs from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), intersubjective therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She is tailoring her interventions to her clients’ needs, in the context in which they find themselves. She strives to build a validating space in therapy, in order to identify therapy goals with her clients and work towards those goals. Marianne wishes to improve her clients’ quality of life and their understanding of themselves.
Outside of work, Marianne enjoys roller skating and attending music events. She also likes to travel and explore new places.
