Clinical Psychologist
Languages of practice: English and French

Dr. Ariel Boyle is a clinical psychologist and member of the Order of Psychologists of Québec. She obtained her doctorate from Concordia University and completed her clinical residency at the McGill University Health Centre’s Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program and Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic. Ariel also completed trainings in outpatient psychiatric settings and private practices, including the MUHC Centre for Research, Training, and Intervention, The Emotional Health CBT Clinic, and Connecte Psychology. Her research focuses on the experience of remission from depression, particularly how fears of becoming depressed again may affect daily life and well-being.

Ariel works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and post-traumatic stress, and difficulties with emotion regulation. She also supports individuals navigating difficulties with self-esteem and interpersonal relationships, life transitions, as well as adjustment to and coping with chronic health conditions.

Ariel’s approach to therapy is warm and collaborative. Her approach to intervention is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and pace. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), while incorporating mindfulness- and compassion-focused strategies. By meeting clients where they are, Ariel works collaboratively with them to develop a meaningful path forward. She helps clients better understand their inner world, recognize the patterns shaping their experiences, and develop practical skills to cope with difficult emotions, navigate life’s challenges, and make changes aligned with what matters to them.

Outside of her clinical work, Ariel enjoys watching movies, experimenting with creative outlets like crafting and drawing, and exploring Montreal’s cafés.
