Alexia is a registered dietitian and holds a Ph.D. in sports nutrition. For the past 20 years, she has worked in a variety of elite sport and artistic environments, developing a deep understanding of the complex factors that influence performance. Known for her scientific rigor, ability to translate research into practice, and practical approach, she focuses on delivering realistic and effective interventions.
Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with the Institut national du sport du Québec, several national sport federations, Cirque du Soleil, and the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, supporting athletes competing at the highest levels, including the Olympic Games.
Specialized in supporting athletes and artists who struggle with their relationship with food or experience eating disorders, Alexia co-founded, with psychologist Jodie Richardson, Ph.D., the organization Éducation DFP / Dare to Fuel Performance. Their mission is to educate, support and empower sport and health professionals to better prevent, identify, and address eating disorders in performance settings.
