Andrea has worked in a variety of settings, including the Douglas Hospital, Rivière des Prairies Hospital and the McGill affiliated Emotional Health CBT Clinic.
Andrea is passionate about the field of psychology and making it accessible to the general public in their everyday lives. She is committed to reducing the stigma associated with mental health disorders and educating people about their prevention. Her studies in community psychology have made her more conscious of the importance of promoting health and empowering individuals through transferring knowledge. She is currently contributing to Connecte’s weekly blog on psychology and scientific findings; developing programs and resources to help promote individual wellness and prevent disorders; and developing resources to help improve transitions after a sick leave or maternity leave in the workplace.
When not working, Andrea spends time with her family and friends, enjoys reading, yoga, and gardening. She has fun experimenting in the kitchen and aims to do so mindfully with a non-judgemental attitude towards the mess she creates!
