─ Dr. Lisa Linardatos ─

Dr. Lisa Linardatos is a clinical psychologist, founding member and partner at Connecte Montreal Psychology Group, and member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at McGill University in 2012. She began her graduate studies in experimental social psychology, which gave her a strong background in research. She has completed most of her clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders with adults. She has also an interest in chronic pain, emotion regulation and mindfulness-based therapies. She has worked in various clinical settings, including the Eating Disorders Program at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Service at the Jewish General Hospital.

Lisa loves all things psychology. Her favourite topics include increasing purpose and meaning in one’s life and work, regulating and managing strong emotions, developing healthy eating habits and a positive body image, and decreasing self-criticism while increasing effectiveness. Her current projects include contributing to Connecte’s weekly blog for the purpose of making psychological research more accessible, developing a mental health 101 program for schools and organizations with the goal of demystifying mental health issues, and developing a comprehensive resource section for Connecte’s website. She is also actively pursuing additional mindfulness training to augment her clinical practice.

Lisa loves being in nature, cycling and jogging, and cooking meals with friends. She is an information junky and is often reading articles about anything from art to astronomy. She loves seeing live music but also enjoys a quiet night in with a movie, her partner and cat.
