Dr. Jacinthe Lemelin is a clinical psychologist and member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She completed a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université de Montréal and a clinical and research PhD at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her doctoral thesis focuses on violence between intimate partners and its consequences. Her professional activities combine clinical practice, research and teaching.

Jacinthe specializes in the cognitive-behavioral approach with an adult clientele and relies on scientifically recognized practices. She has experience with a variety of difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic pain, stress and anger management, mourning, existential distress, relationship and coping difficulties as well as infertility. Throughout her practice, she focuses on an empathetic, collaborative, warm approach that is tailored to the personal needs of each person. Jacinthe has completed her clinical training in a variety of specialized settings including the Burn and Intensive Care Unit at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) and the department of cognitive behavioral psychiatry, emergency and chronic pain at the Jewish general hospital. She also received additional training at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety associated with the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.

Having traveled in many countries, Jacinthe has an interest in discovering new places and meeting others. Science, physical activity, diving and meditation are at the heart of her interests.
