─ AMADEA S. KEZAR ─

Amadea Kezar is a certified physiotherapist and member of the Ordre Professionel de la Physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ). She earned a Masters degree in physiotherapy from McGill University and went on to specialize in Pelvi-Perineal Re-education for men and women. In addition to treating urinary, ano-rectal and pre-postnatal dysfunction she has a particular interest in persistent pelvic and genital pain. She offers advanced manual therapy and pain control strategies for complex pain conditions including prostatitis, vulvovaginal pain, vaginismus, pudendal neuralgia, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis/Bladder pain syndrome, as well as post pelvic radiation pain and dysfunction. She is also one of the few physiotherapists in Canada certified to use pessary fitting as part of treatment for pelvic organ prolapse. To find out more visit her website at www.amadeakezarpt.com.

Amadea is passionate about learning and educating the public about pelvic health. She is an invited speaker at Montreal based medical institutions and international conferences. In 2011 she created the “More Than Kegels” workshop which she hosts regularly at various community based organizations to raise awareness about pre-postnatal pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence. To keep her work up to date she is a member of the International Continence Society (ICS), the National vulvodynia Association (NVA) and she sits on the committee for international liaison of the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS).

Travel is Amadea’s second passion and she pursues it with earnest. When in the city, she enjoys dinner parties (where she can talk travel), long urban hikes, and having a good laugh with friends and family.
