Adrianne Pauzé is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is also a therapist at Connecte Montreal Psychology group. She completed her training at the Eating Disorders Program and at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. She also trained at the Clinique des Services psychologiques de l’UQO. In the context of her doctoral research, she studies the association between excessive preoccupation with eating healthy food (orthorexia) and body image disturbance.

From her clinical and research experience, she gained specialized skills in the treatment of adults facing eating disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and perfectionism. She understands the human mind and psychotherapy within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, integrating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She intends to simplify the process of change so it can be achievable and coherent with client values. In a warm atmosphere of non-judgment, collaboration, authenticity and genuine curiosity, she helps her clients develop an understanding of the maintaining factors for their difficulties, and guides them through change so they can reach a more balanced and satisfying life.

In her everyday life, Adrianne likes to watch television series with her beloved cat, hang out with her loved ones while enjoying good food and a glass of wine, and read crime fiction.
